Artist History
Ikegami Shuho (1874–1944) was a Japanese painter. He was born in Nagano Prefecture. He grew up with his grandfather and father, who were painting hobbyists. He studied under Araki Kanpo and became one of his disciples. He was active in the Bun-ten and Tei-ten exhibitions. He was the head of the Denshindo Art School and also devoted himself to mentoring the next generation of artists.
