Artist History
Okamoto Toyohiko (1773-1845) was a painter of the late Edo period. Born in Bitchu. He studied under Goshun and was known for his outstanding landscape and figure paintings. He established an art school called "Choshinsha" and among his pupils were Shibata Zeshin, Shiokawa Bunrin, and Tanaka Nikka.
