Artist History
Tamaoki Raiseki (1899-1978) was a Japanese painter. He was born in Gifu Prefecture. He studied under Ohashi Suiseki and specialized in tigers. In 1942, he founded the Kosai-kai group. He later founded "the Japan Animal Painting Association". He served as its president and devoted himself to the development of animal painting.
