Artist History
Hashimoto Kansetsu(1883-1945)was a painter of Japanese-style paintings. Studied under Takeuchi Seiho. He created a new style of painting called Shin-Nanga, which incorporated Nanga into the Shijo school style of painting. Awarded the Chevalier de Légion d'Honneur by the French government.
