Artist History
Mio Goseki (1885-1946) was a Japanese painter. He was born in Nihonbashi, Tokyo. He studied under Ohashi Suiseki. He was repeatedly selected for exhibitions such as the Inten and Bunten exhibitions, and was nicknamed "Goseki of Tiger " for his outstanding tiger paintings. After the Great Kanto Earthquake, he moved to Urawa City, Saitama Prefecture. He is counted among the Urawa painters.
