Artist History
Ooide Toukou (1841-1905) was a Japanese painter from the late Edo period to the Meiji period. He studied painting under Maebara Gouse in Ueno-Kiryu, and later studied under Todo Ryoun in Edo. He excelled in flower-and-bird Paintings.
