Artist History
Mochizuki Gyokukei (1874-1938) was a Japanese painter. He was born in Kyoto. He learned painting from his father, Mochizuki Gyokusen. He was the fifth generation of the Mochizuki school, which produced paintings for the Imperial Court. He excelled in paintings of flowers-and-birds.
