Artist History
Kikuchi Hobun(1862-1918) was a Japanese painter of the Meiji and Taisho periods. Born in Osaka.He studied under Kono Bairei of the Shijo school, and is called "The Four Heavenly Kings under Bairei".He was especially good at flower-and-bird paintings and cherry blossom paintings.
