Artist History
Kano Takanobu(1809-1892) was Japanese Painter. 10th-generation head of Negishi Ogyonomatsu Kano school, pupil of and successor to Kano Kansei Yoshinobu. Studied with Kano Isen'in Naganobu. Participated in creation of wall paintings for Edo Castle. After Restoration, worked for Ministry of Education and the Museum, won prize at 1st National Painting Competition in 1882.
