Kumagai Naohiko (1829-1913) was a Japanese painter from the end of the Edo period to the Meiji period. He was born in Kyoto and studied under Okamoto Shigehiko, a painter of the Shijo school. He was well versed in court etiquette and customs, and excelled in landscape and portrait painting.
