Artist History
Neagari Tomiji(1895-1981) was a Japanese painter. He was born in Yamagata Prefecture. He graduated from Tokyo Fine Arts School. Studied under Yuki Somei. Exhibited at the Teiten and Shinbunten exhibitions, and in 1938 became a founding member of the Japanese Painting Institute along with Kawasaki Kotora and others. After the war, he was mainly active in The Japan Fine Arts Exhibition.
