Matsumura Keibun / 12 Hanging scrolls of flowers and birds
It depicts camellia, Japanese bush warbler on plum blossoms, weeping cherry blossoms with azure-winged magpie, rape blossoms with butterflies, reeds with jade, moon with Japanese silver grass, chrysanthemum, maple, and geese, etc., representing the twelve months. The mounting was done by Fushihara-Shunpodo, a Kyoto-based mounting store.
Abe Masayoshi / Bamboo and tiger
Tigers have been a popular subject for painting since ancient times due to their fierce appearance, and in Japan they were favored by samurais and Zen monks especially from the Muromachi period onwards.
Honnyo / Crow
