Artist History
Mori Ippo (1798-1872) was a painter from the late Edo period. He was born in Harima. He studied under Mori Tetsuzan, a disciple of Maruyama Okyo, and was adopted by him to succeed the Mori school. He later served the Hosokawa family, the lords of the Higo Kumamoto domain.
